CES 2017

Once again the time is approaching for the Consumer Electronics Show, CES 2017. The biggest annual technology event comes to Las Vegas every year in early January. Hundreds of vendors, developers and manufacturers will show off their latest products exhibiting at the show. The Consumer Electronics Show is held primarily at the Las Vegas Convention Center here is Las Vegas, but there are additional venues at the Sands Convention Center and throughout the town at various hotels. Of course, we will be looking at the latest tech products and  consumer technology developments.

Last year autonomous vehicles were prevalent throughout the show and will likely have a big footprint this year as well.  Robotics, 3D printing, wearable tech, medical tech, Smart Home technology and all sorts of products and accessories for our smartphones and tablets. Security cameras, portable power and toys of all kinds. Drones were also a big hit at last year’s show and will likely be again this year. The latest in media tech like state of the art 3D TVs, sound systems, Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality and Artificial Intelligence, IoT (Internet of Things). The list goes on and on. I walked the show for four days last year and still missed a whole lot

Press Events

The press events, keynotes, and presentations are where you get the inside scoop on where these industries are and where they are going.  For example, there is a Consumer Technology publication that discusses “Collaboration Between Humans and Technology is Creating a New Labor Class”.  And “Under Armour” Founder and CEO, Kevin Plank’s Keynote on the “Future of Technology and Sports”.

Unfortunately, this event is closed to the public. But that doesn’t stop close to 300,000 visitors from coming to Las Vegas to participate in one way or another in this mega event. If I manage to get a press pass to CES 2017 I will do my best to be your eyes and ears. The show starts on January 5th and runs through the 8th.

Let me know if you are going to attend.  Perhaps we can meet up.
